Introduction

This Code of Conduct has been established to outline what is acceptable and what is unacceptable behaviour – in and out the show ring and at any event held by the NIBTC.

Event organisers are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of whether your Bull Terrier is a show dog or pet. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event at the discretion of the event organisers Show Manager or Disciplinary Committee.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour event organisers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. Event organisers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the event or making the environment hostile for any participants. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Members are responsible for making their guests aware of the Code of Conduct and will be held responsible for the behaviour of their guests.

It is important that as a member of our club you understand and accept this code of conduct and realise that those who break the code will suffer the appropriate penalties as decided by the Disciplinary Committee. This could include exclusion from the NIBTC for a designated period of time.

Behaviour and actions taken which are deemed to be in conflict with this Code of Conduct will be reported to the NZKC (Show regulations Rule 25: Reporting of Fraudulent or Discreditable Conduct).

All members or members’ guests, regardless of position within the club, will be dealt with in a fair and just manner. If the complaint is against a person or persons of the Disciplinary Committee they will be stood down from the Disciplinary Committee and not partake in any decisions. There will be neutral members to replace them.
